While Goo Hye Sun and Lee Min Ho are whoring themselves promoting in Taiwan, the So-Eul couple are busy filming dramas in Korea. Kim Bum has his drama "Dream" while Kim So Eun will be starring in her own drama, "The Man Who Can't Get Married" with the woman who can't get married Uhm Jung Hwa.

Even though they have separate projects, they will still combine for the Bonjuk ads, and are into the 2nd month of their 1 year contract. Unfortunately, there won't be a commercial starring the So-Eul couple for Bonjuk, only posters like the ones below.

I think I speak for most of us when I say, "aw man... that mean just a little less of the adorable Kim Bum!", although Coolsmurf would beg to differ.

New project!

Kim Bum’s had pretty good luck with projects — Unstoppable High Kick, East of Eden, Boys Before Flowers — and we’ll see if he can keep the streak going with his new drama. He’s just announced his next role, in the SBS Monday-Tuesday drama Dream [드림], which also stars Joo Jin-mo (200 Pound Beauty) and pop singer Sohn Dam-bi.

In Dream, Kim Bum will shed his pretty-boy image for a tough guy who spent time in a juvenile correctional facility and now practices mixed martial arts. Because the role calls for lots of skin-baring scenes (topless fighting Kim Bum?!?), he’s busy working out to get into top shape. The drama tells the story of the young man’s journey alongside a sports agent (Joo Jin-mo) as both struggle to overcome hardship and succeed. Sohn Dam-bi plays the daughter of a martial arts director.

Honestly, I have no idea if this drama will be good. Joo Jin-mo is sexy, yes, but Sohn Dam-bi is a pop singer with no proven acting skills. (Not saying she can’t have ‘em, just saying I’m not convinced.) But I’m definitely going to be looking forward to Kim Bum demonstrating some good acting, because I think Boys Before Flowers was a horrible example of what he’s capable of (for which I blame the director).

I find a little hope in its production team: Dream will be written by Jung Hyung-soo (Jumong, Damo) and directed by Baek Soo-chan (Tazza, Golden Bride). The drama will air in September.

While his on-screen partner, Kim So Eun has it easy signing autographs at a film festival, Kim Bum is working hard to become an action star and move away from his pretty boy image from Boys Before Flowers. He should be succeeding pretty soon for he is also training hard to be a mixed martial arts exponent in SBS Dream.

We were earlier treated to stills of Kim Bum kissing Kim Byul from his new movie, Flight where he plays the leading role. Today, we have stills where he leaps off a building 20m off the ground, with a wire behind his back all by himself, without the use of an extra. Despite injuring his ankle during the filming, Kim Bum still wore a smiley face throughout, showing a maturity that's really rare among new actors. The adolescent romantic action movie, Flight will premiere in movie theatres in September.

Rising star Kim Bum and actress Kim Byul (Baby and I) are gaining attention for the adolescent romantic action movie Emergency (비상 , Bi Sang). Actor Kim Bum who quickly shot to fame following his role in Boys Over Flowers and his co-star Kim Byul revealed an emotion-filled kiss scene from their upcoming movie.


The movie tells the story of friendship, love, and pain in youth where Kim Bum and Kim Byul meet through their sad love story. In the film, Kim Bum portrays the character Shi Bum who for love aspires to be the best actor while Kim Byul plays Soo Kyung who among an unhappy family situation has a hurting yet pure soul.

The film started shooting last month and with the release of the kiss scene, the movie is being met with greater anticipation. The kiss scene was filmed in the sandy white beaches of Busan and is the first moment where Shi Bum and Soo Kyung affirm their feelings for each other. To portray their pure but ardent love, even during their break time, they discussed the technicalities of the scene, trying to perfect it.

Having shown his charisma through East of Eden and Boys Over Flowers, Kim Bum plans to continue his role as an adolescent icon as his character is one who is willing to throw away everything for the sake of one girl. Emergency plans to release later this year and is expecting a Beat (Jung Woo Sung's film from the 90s)-like syndrome. At least this time he doesn't have to worry about getting death threats from So Hee's fans. Although I can't say the same for Kim Byul.

Wow... even after 2 months, the Boys Over Flowers virus is still alive in Korea AS WELL as Japan!

Top Japanese investors have already bought the rights to Kim Bum's upcoming film, "Flight", (mind you, the movie hasn't even begun filming yet) as well as the future DVD and merchandising rights. They've trusted that Kim Bum is already successful enough to sell... and I really hope he does or else he'll probably never be able to show his face in Japan again!

Also, his latest drama "Dream" which is slated for release in Korea very soon on SBS, has also been picked up for Japanese release, as well as previous shows and movies he's been in.

Kim Bum must be well loved in Japan for these sweet deals he's getting! They are even comparing his upcoming popularity in Japan to that of Choi Ji-woo and Bae Yong Joon's... for Kim Bum's own personal safety, I hope he doesn't reach BYJ status. He'll won't be able to have a girlfriend or even wife for that matter... EVER!

Boys before flower: "F4 Special Edition" have been released in April 28 for two episodes of Kim Boom as Yi-jung character and Kim Joon as Woo-bin character. For two episodes last that was containing Lee Min-ho as Goo Jun-pyo character dan Kim Hyun-joong as Ji-hoo character is realesed in May 19. Although the videos consisted of parts of their series drama but you could be still enjoying it. Have a nice day..^^
