Law drama Partner really is promoting itself strongly, isn’t it? I suppose it doesn’t hurt that it’s got such good-looking actors (although, really, what kdrama doesn’t?).

Here we see some more photos of lead actor Lee Dong-wook as his playboyish, sarcastic lawyer character Tae-jo. Naturally he’ll clash with the quick-tempered but well-meaning Kim Hyun-joo, his snobbishness challenged by her down-to-earth personality.

Tae-jo is described as “making all the ladies’ hearts flutter” with his “arrogant way of speaking and attitude, and sly gestures.” Yeah, I can totally see it.

Actors Jung Jin-young and Jang Geun-seok worked together in the 2007 Lee Jun-ik film Happy Life, and are re-teaming for a new film, Itaewon Murder Case [이태원 살인사건].

The story unfolds after a university student is found dead from a violent stabbing in the restroom of a fast-food restaurant in Itaewon, a shopping district in Seoul with a lot of American and non-Korean presence (due partly to the U.S. base nearby). Two Americans are brought in as suspects in the mystery crime thriller.

Jung Jin-young plays a prosecutor determined to dig into the case to find the truth. Baby-faced Jang Geun-seok transforms into a cool-headed roughneck for his role as one of the murder suspects.

The film is actually based on a real-life incident that occurred in an Itaewon Burger King on April 3, 1997. The case sparked outrage when one of the two teenage Americans was able to leave Korea after an early prison release, and returned home despite authorities’ intentions to file more charges against him. The other, a Korean-American, was ultimately acquitted.

Itaewon Murder Case began filming in May, and is planning for a September release.

Lee Min Ho looks mature and sleek in this photoshoot for Trugen. Lee Min Ho is the new face for the company, taking over from the previous model, Jo In Sung who had enlisted to serve the nation on 6th April. Lee Min Ho is in project after project... he must have no personal life, I reckon.

Kangta talks about Army Life

Singer Kangta, who was enlisted on 1st April 2008 and is currently serving his military service, has revealed his life in the barracks to his fans through the media. In a MBC program which shows life in the army, Kangta gave an interview and expressed that he will not lose to fellow actor, Chun Jung Myung. He said jokingly, "Although everyone knows that Chun Jung Myung is a very good soldier, I am not bad either. If we match up 1 to 1, I have confidence that I can handle him."

Chun Jung Myung is currently serving in the 30th Infantry Division and has been frequently reported in the media to be a really imposing trainer when he's training recruits, impressing his fans. Kangta ditched his position as a civil soldier and managed to get transferred to the 8th Infantry Division where he is now a scout.

When asked if there were any singers or entertainers that he had taken a liking to recently, Kangta answered bravely, "I like Girls' Generation now. Before I enlisted, I only thought of them as my juniors and that they were really hardworking kids. But after entering the army, I have totally converted into becoming a fan of them. I really like the song 'Gee' and my heart would start beating really fast whenever I see Sunny."

Must have been smitten by this. He's not the first.

Rain decides to do away with his Six to Five clothes and goes back to nature

World Star Rain (Jung Ji-hoon) is the face and body of Korea's new cosmetics brand Nature Republic.

Rain shows off his famous body in a series of black and white photos for Nature Republic's website.

What is the brand's philosophy? It says on the Nature Republic website:

"Nature Republic", based on Mother nature's law, is a new cosmetic brand, created by combining both state-of-the-art technology as well as natural substances of the utmost quality.

My abs are not photoshopped...it's all natural I tell you...

The arty pictures were shot in Brisbane, Australia with the forest as an amazing backdrop. Rain, bare chest and feet walks through the serene forest, becomes one with nature.

This is the first of a series of ads and CF that Rain will be doing for Nature Republic (네이처 리퍼블릭). He has inked a two year contract with the cosmetics brand for a cool 1.5 billion won. Kaching!

Nature Republic opened its first store in Myeongdong, Seoul in March 2009. By middle of the year, 100 stores will be in operation and the goal is to open 300 stores by end of the year. A very aggressive plan I would say.
